STCW Basic Safety Training Refresher (A-VI/1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4)
Objective
Trainees who successfully complete this course shall demonstrate continued proficiency and competence in the elements of Basic Safety as laid down in STCW95 of Table A-VI/1.1-1.4.
Target group
Seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity on board a ship in ship operations, as part of the ship's crew, and wh are assigned duties with respect to safety or the prevention of pollution during ship operation.
Course content
The course contains four sections:
-Personal survival techniques (Table A-VI/1-1)
-Preventive fire protection and fire fighting (Table A-VI/1-2)
-Basic First Aid (Table A-VI/1-3)
-Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (Table A-VI/1-4)

Prerequisites
-STCW Basic Safety Traning (STCW-95: A-V1/1-1 to 1-4)
-Minimum 12 months experience in mustering the required position in the last 5 years
-Minimum number of participants is ten (10) and maximum is twenty-four (24)
