Objective
The aim of this course is to give everyone involved in lifting operations, the knowledge of NORSOK standard R.003 "Safe use of lifting equipment."
The standard is intended to maintain, establish and develop an acceptable level of safety for personnel, material assets and the environment in the planning and execution of lifting operations.
Target group
Offshore:
Operators of lifting appliances, personnel responsible for the lifting equipment, crane drivers, signalmen and slingers, riggers, users of loose lifting equipment and sailors.
Onshore:
Personnel who use and have roles in connection with lifting equipment and lifting operations.
Course content
-Overview and hierarchy of current regulations
-Review of the basic requirements of HSE regulations
-Validity and scope of the guidance to the regulations and standards
-Review of NORSOK R-003
-Tips and advice with respect to easy access to rules and standards
-Exchange of experiences and work in groups
